Ivor Goodsite Visits Local Schools

Considerate Constructors Scheme Mascot, Ivor Goodsite, had a very busy week visiting Schools recently to highlight the dangers of construction sites.

Ivor visited several Schools in the North Yorkshire region recently including Mill Hill Community Primary School in Northallerton where they were welcomed enthusiastically by both the children and staff alike!

Ivor helped to educate the children on the dangers of building sites with a presentation alongside Craig Penketh from Northern Counties Safety Group. The presentation was all centred around site safety and sending out the clear message that construction sites are not safe places to play and the children should respect site boundaries and stay away.

Ivor generated considerable amusement in miming the answers to questions and displaying an example of correct site attire, finally offering a ‘high five’ and ‘DAB’ to all the pupils as they departed the assembly hall.

Following on from the safety presentations will be poster competitions with prizes awarded for the best efforts.
