Glenn Jones gets a WIN at SkillBuild
We are pleased to announce that Glenn Jones, 3rd Year apprentice for Walter Thompson, WON the Regional heats of the 2010 SkillBuild competition held at Newcastle College for the Carpentry Category.
SkillBuild is the largest multi-trade competition in the country for construction trainees and apprentices.
Glenn attended the competition both as a representative of Walter Thompson and Redcar and Cleveland College. Glenn was required to complete a test piece of work which was designed to challenge his ability to follow detailed instructions, produce accurate and neat work outputs, be economical with materials while working to strict timescales – all essential requirements for today’s construction industry.
