We are proud to announce that the development of Middlesbrough’s most recent entertainment hotspot finished earlier in the year. Bringing this boutique cinema to life, for client Roxy Movies, has truly been a labour of love as we built something exciting and fresh for the town. The cinema sits in Captain Cooks Square, taking over two units which had previously stood empty for just under a year. 

The cinema benefits from 3 screens with comfy sofa seating, a bar & lounge area, and simply gorgeous interiors; featuring herringbone flooring, emerald velvet booths, and a gold ceiling, enough to entice any keen cinemagoer. Work began in early Spring 2025 and finished in late Summer, just in time for those cosy winter movie nights to begin.

Once building had wrapped, the new movie house was visited by Middlesbrough Mayor Chris Cooke who came for a special tour, and he was joined by our Construction Director, Dean Wilson, and Site Manager, Luke Salvin.

It’s great to see the cinema open and ready to bring movie magic to the town. We’d like to give a huge congratulations and thank you to Middlesbrough Council, Roxy Movies, and all involved in bringing the development to life.
