Linthorpe Community Primary School

Phasing of the works was key to the scheme’s success. At the commencement of the scheme, we carried out a full rephasing exercise in conjunction with the school and the design team to ensure that the optimum phasing solution was adopted to guarantee teaching levels were maintained at all times.”

The scheme was competitively tendered to provide major refurbishment and alterations to much of the school, with extensive external landscaping. A new extension to the school and separate new building to the rear of the school was also included in the works.

This scheme was carried out within fully live and operational educational environment and was successfully completed on time and within budget.

Cundall Manor School

Phase two was the recently completed construction of a new reception building.

This was a 12 week project largely carried out during term time with various examination periods ongoing, therefore particular care was taken to work alongside the school during these sensitive times.

The substructure included a block-work shell with a coloured render finish and a single ply standing seam roof. New timber external windows and doors were also installed.

Internally the reception area was fitted with a new heating and ventilation system, a new fully accessible WC was formed and associated dry lining, decoration and floor finishes were undertaken.

Externally we provided new hard and soft landscaping areas.

Nawton Community Primary School

This project comprised of a new double classroom building, including cloakroom, WC’s and demolition of existing TCU. The works involved, a full temporary welfare set up and segregation from the school playgrounds and field to allow the children to still play in a safe environment whilst the works are carried out.

Once the works on the new classroom unit were complete we then reinstated the school field with new turf, new tarmac to the playground as well as refitting the play equipment.

Health & Safety

The unique nature of working within the education sector requires that we maintain our health and safety standards at the highest level. This allows us to achieve a safe working environment where young people may be in close proximity to our construction work.

The onus of making everyone safe falls fairly on the shoulders of the construction team and encouraging safe practice amongst the young people is an important part of achieving this.
